They are also known as Lucerne or Medicago sativa. In Ayurveda, this herb is used to lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels and treat arthritis, and kidney, bladder, and prostate disorders. It is also hormone-balancing, alkalizing, and detoxifying the body, particularly the liver.

Alfalfa is loaded with minerals such as zinc, carotene, iron, calcium, and potassium and vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K. It is a good source of protein.

Dosage:

The recommended dose is 2-10 capsules daily.
